When it comes to a tasty dessert, homemade is always going to beat something with preservatives in my opinion. Not everyone had time to create homemade delicacies, or they think it is too time consuming. With just two ingredients and three simple steps, you can have your own delicious sweet homemade strawberry sauce to enjoy with any dessert you desire.
Your homemade strawberry sauce will hold in the fridge up to a week, the sugar will naturally keep it from changing color but it may taste a bit sweeter the longer you store it.
- 1 pint of strawberries
- 3 tbsp sugar
- Cut off tops and chop strawberries in to tiny bits/slices
- Put in pan on medium heat and add 3 tbsp sugar for each pint of strawberries
- Stir slowly until natural juices and sugars blend to create the perfect sauce
- You can add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg for an added zing to your sauce but don’t add in until the end or it can alter the color of your sauce!
