From the moment my husband met me in 2011 he knew I was a make up addict. It somewhat surprises people that I did not take on beauty blogging. Truth of the matter, is that I am not a beauty wizard. I know how to apply it, blend it, and play with shadows. Other than that, I wish I had a make up artist to follow me daily and fix me up.
My biggest concern as a working Mom is looking good when I go out. Yes, I work from home most of the time but I also have to travel for my job at times. You never know who you will run into or who is whipping a camera out! I swear I am dodging camera phones left and right now days. I feel like a total slob on days I go out with absolutely no make up. My go to is concealer, foundation, and eyeliner. The rest can wait unless it’s a fancy event.
I was sent this Ageless Derma Camoufleur Concealer in the fair shade in order to facilitate this review. The concealer retails for $25.00 which is a little more than I have paid in the past. It comes in a small pod that is great to throw in your makeup bag or purse. No scent that I can tell and it smooths on light as a feather with a small brush. I never recommend applying with fingers as 1) your fingers have oils in them and 2) you can’t pat it on the way you should for a natural look. It is 100% mineral make up with no parabens. It is available in five different shades so you can best match your facial skin tone.
To be honest for $25.00 the size and the quality, it will last you quite some time. I use it for the areas my skin got dry due to a very strong facial wash drying it out and causing flaking which does not look pretty or natural. I also love it for my under eye circles. Staying up until 2am most nights blogging can play a toll on my baby blue eyes really lighting up.
I have only been using it for a month but am a fan already! I feel more confident if I have to strike a pose and smile for a camera phone and have felt it covers up even acne spots that may pop up unexpected, to where I still maintain my confidence.
Ageless Derma carries a full skincare and mineral makeup line. They have been featured on day time television celebrities and were featured at the Emmy Awards. If it is great enough for celebrities, it is worth a shot! (Side note: I do much rather prefer this concealer to the one I had been using prior which retailed about $15)
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
