I got to check out the Eggo Waffle Bar Truck that came to town and it inspired me to create a fun sleepover for my son and his cousins! The Eggo Waffle Bar is free, yes I said FREE, to visit! Check out the Eggo Waffle Bar Truck for your Walmart exclusive inspiration guide and additional savings while supplies last! The inspiration guide has even more inspiration on bringing the waffle bar home!
Find out where the Eggo Waffle Bar Truck is going to be near you and make sure you don’t miss out.
Visiting is as easy as showing up to the location near you at the times listed and being hungry. You line up, fill out your Waffle Creation Card. You can either select one of their creations of create one of your own using three toppings. As soon as your treat is ready they are able to call to you by name. The whole family enjoyed getting speciality creations that fit our personalities and current cravings. My husband got something spicy, I got something fruity, and our son of course chose something sweet.
Creating a themed Eggo Waffle Bar is so easy. You just need some tasty ingredients to create your amazing waffle creations and excited party guests. I grabbed up some of the toppings they used at the Eggo Waffle Bar Truck so I could try to recreate the “Taste of the Tropics” they made me as well as create my own variations of “yum”! Delicious News! Eggo waffles now have no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources.
I was able to get every single item I needed for our Summer Never Ends Waffle Bar at Walmart.
- Kellogg’s® Homestyle Waffles
- Smucker’s® Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice Cream Topping
- Hungry Jack® Original Syrup
- Breyers® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream
- Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter
- Reddi-wip® Original Dairy Whipped Topping
- Capri Sun® Fruit Refreshers: Very Berry Punch
- Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts 52 oz. Canister
- Frozen DOLE® Sliced Strawberries
- DOLE® Canned Pineapple or DOLE® Pineapple Tidbits
Once you have all your tasty ingredients, pick a theme that resonates with your guests and your event. I went tropical as I was letting the kids have a pool party the day of their slumber party. My goal was to get them away from screens and having fun making their own creations. No one ever will decline breakfast for dinner in our family.
I created my own version of a PB&J on waffles while the kids decided that they were happy so they made happy faces. My “Taste of the Tropics” at home was not as pretty as the professionals but it tasted just as amazing! Let your wild side out and try new combinations. The Taste of the Tropics on the Eggo Waffle Bar Truck includes some toasted coconut, which I did not think to include at our Summer Never Ends Waffle Bar but you can still replicate the recipe easily.
To make a similar recipe to the one the Eggo Waffle Bar Truck serves you need one Eggo Homestyle Waffle cooked. Top with two tablespoons of DOLE® Pineapple Tidbits, two tablespoons of Frozen DOLE® Sliced Strawberries (thawed), and one serving (2 tablespoons) of Reddi-wip. (Serves 1)
We had my son’s cousins over for the night, which led to a total of six kids excited to make their own delicious recipe. While my niece created a happy waffle face, the younger boys all opted for a scoop (1/2 cup) of the Breyers® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream with Smucker’s® Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice Cream Topping (2 tablespoons) and a quick spritz of Reddi-wip topping (2 tablespoons). (Serves 1)
You can decorate as easy or as extravagant as you want, the waffle bar is going to be the real eye catcher no matter what. Make sure you have a tablecloth down, as kids can get a little messy. Shoot, even the adults can. Most of all, enjoy the time with those you love while filling your bellies with a delicious array of fun.
I love when I can find a way to get the kids together without having to spend a lot of money taking them to attractions or out to eat. Bringing a fun party home that lets them extend their creativity and enjoy family time warms my heart. The best part of having our Summer Never Ends Waffle Bar at night, they asked if I could “open back up the celebration party” for breakfast in the morning! All it took was a few bright colors and a fun array of ingredients to be considered “fun” to kids who typically only want to keep their face looking at a screen of some sorts.
Add in a swim time, story time, and a few sleeping bags on the floor, you easily end up with a group of very happy kids.
