When it comes to having fun and making memories, Disney has set the bar high for every child. Yet, this time, the bar was set high for me to see if 100 Years of Magic from Disney On Ice was what dreams were made of. You see, I was training as a figure skater and choreographer in college, until an injury. I was training, to audition for Disney On Ice! Never before actually seeing a live performance, only what I saw online, I had high expectations. I’m happy to say, I was not let down.
Feld Entertainment, sent my family (and a reader and their family of my website) to the Tampa, FL opening night show at Amalie Arena on May 12, 2016. I had been to hockey games here, I had seen competitions and been in many at performance ice rinks, but this was something special.
Here with stories I have come to love from movies and characters we know so well, all doing their performances you would tend to see on Main Street in a parade, but on figure skates! It wasn’t a song and dance, it included many flips, spins, and jumps! My heart was on fire with happiness and yes, a few times, I almost cried tears of joy. Maybe a few of those were for a longing to be on the ice with them!

With songs you and your children will know, stories of many familiar faces, and lots of smiles and laughter, it truly is something for the whole family.
From classics that I grew up with, to of course the most popular characters from the hit movie “Frozen”, there was something for everyone. Guessing who would come out next or what song the cast would sing, left no time to stop smiling! The time actually seemed to go by way too fast for this Mom, when the full cast came out at the end, I was left feeling they way I do at the end of a fun day at the Magic Kingdom. Disney On Ice left an impression on me. As a Mom, as a figure skater, and as a fan of all things Disney.
My niece is actually going to see the show on Saturday and I can’t wait to hear how much she enjoys it! You still have time to find tickets to the 100 Years of Magic, Disney On Ice show coming to a city near you!
