I was sent this beautiful Martini Nurse Purse breast pump bag to facilitate this review. All opinions an thoughts are that of my own and may differ from yours. The Martini Nurse Purse is one in a line of many beautiful breast pump bags created by Adrienne Frohlich. Pumping in something many fall back on when they go back to work or want to share the responsibility of feedings with other members of the family. I wanted to pump to be able to provide a better amount of milk for my son when he was on the breast and to have in emergencies as we do not give formula any longer. I was upset at myself for even resorting to formula while I tried to figure out the best way to pump. As a website owner and Mom I am on the go a lot. Between appointments and outings, I was lugging around minimum three bags: Diaper Bag, laptop bag, and pump as seen below. I was able to consolidate for short trips all three into one, for a longer day I will still carry two bags but that is still more manageable than three!
Some may ask why even bother with a purse for the pump? Quite frankly every bag that a pump comes in, just screams “MOMMY IS GOING TO PUMP LATER!” Why not have style and throw people off? If you get a free pump through your insurance than splurge on yourself just a bit. Not to mention how much room this bad boy has!
The bags are all colorful and perfect for a Mom on the go. The laminated canvas is easy to wipe up those milk droplets that do find their way out of the pump when disassembling or even drips of your morning coffee! The metal feet on the bottom is great because who really wants their bag sitting directly on a floor let alone put a bag directly on your counter or table? The amount of space is exceptional for not adding any real bulk to the bag. The inside has a removable and adjustable panel to fit your pump motor. Back again to mentioning the space, there is an outside pocket that can fit a variety of things like files, papers, or documents. The front has a mesh pocket that is perfect for a cell phone or even excess pump membranes or bottle caps. There is also a spot for a photo. It has been said time and again that looking at a photo of your child while pumping, will help your letdown come faster. Nurture your mind with the love of your life. It is built to fit a variety of standard pumps with the adjustable front area. I was a little confused on the space it provided but eventually figured it out with all the Velcro. The only changes I would suggest are a longer strap for carrying (messenger style) and perhaps extra Velcro that could be placed inside to stabilize the pump motor a little easier.
As you can see by those photos I was able to fit not just any laptop in there but my full size 2009 Dell! It still leaves me room to toss in a pouch for my pump accessories and a few diapers and wipes. I can slide his drink cup in the side pocket. It really makes the trips to my Sister’s place easy as she has lots of toys and things for him but I have to bring a fresh drink, my computer, and a pump. It saves me from a pile of bags in the car, out of the car, and waddling around, trying to balance them all. If I take the computer out, I can fit even more baby product inside and be out all day!
The Nurse Purse bags retail for $129.00 and ship Priority mail free. They can be used in multiple variations and even after pumping! The quality is well made and will last through multiple children, maybe even longer than your pump! **PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR A COUPON CODE**
