At about one month old Davin rolled in his four week mark as a little monster instead of a little mister. Monday (Yesterday) he turned four weeks old. I guess tomorrow (The 11th) he would be one month since birth. I barely survived off two hours of sleep in over 24hrs and he did not close his little eyelids until we were in the car heading to his grandparents house. Of course he slept through that visit, stopping at a store, and nearly finished off his snooze while we ate dinner. We did have to ... View the Post
Davin’s Birth Story
November 10, 2013 was my 30th birthday. This was also baby Davin's estimated due date. The prior Thursday I got a call from my obstetrician's office stating I would get a call on Friday the eighth with a time to be at our hospital St. Joseph's Women's on Sunday the tenth. This was in part to me having a lot of high blood pressure readings in my third trimester. For awhile we were scared I would be put into a cesarean for my own health protection. On Friday morning I got the call from a woman ... View the Post
Are we ever really ready?
It is 6:00am Eastern and I should be sleeping. Or at the very least tossing and turning while my husband gets ready for work. My alarm was set for 7, and I was up by 4:47 surfing the internet on my cell phone. Am I nervous because today is the last day I will drive to Tampa to my obstetrician's office and find out my fate with the little one? Will there be an update to say I am finally having any type of progress as my due date is in five days? Or will we wait for the hospital to contact them ... View the Post
Infant Laundry Revelations
I can honestly say I did not think one of my first blogging posts would be about baby socks and mittens. I have a whole list of things I am ready to write about. I just hit 37 weeks (AKA Full term by medical standards) for our little boy and I am trying to get into a nesting mode but keep falling asleep in the middle of the day. I find my energy perks up a few hours after dinner, normally after 9pm lol. I confess I was washing loads of laundry a little over a month ago and sure as anything I ... View the Post
We All Have a Back Story
I sit back looking at my friends list on Facebook and realize the years that have gone by. I can remember things from age 17 sometimes better than I can remember things from last year! I am a book full of advice, lessons, and mistakes beyond belief, but where it it come from? I figured a little timeline for those who have not been with me on the journey would really open up a little window into why I am able to jump into so many discussions without batting an eyelash. Age 15: Left public high ... View the Post
Sneak Peek For Family & Friends
Today marks the beginning! Many of you are sitting patiently or pacing if you are neurotic like some of my close friends can be lol. Mommy By Nurture is in the development stage at this time. Domain is secured, twitter is active, facebook page is up, and pinterest account is live! Anyone reading this (unless found by pure luck online before it is promoted as a live blog/website) probably already knows my purpose in this website. I have blogged a lot in the past. Sometimes I closed the blog ... View the Post
