I need to make a confession first. A few years ago before Origami Owl took off, I saw a friend’s “Living Locket” and the term threw me for a bit, I think it just sounded creepy. Maybe because she had charms in there to signify people who no longer were living. I was not understanding the true concept of the brand until just recently. See, if you take the term “Living Locket” and wear it yourself, it means you are holding things dear to your heart as a living movement upon your body. If that makes sense.
I created my Living Locket for review to be based with the theme of my Mommy & Me Birthday Bash. To signify who I am. To make this even sweeter, my friend Jennifer is also sponsoring a prize for a lucky winner in the giveaway event! All thoughts and opinions are that of my own.
When I found out my friend Jennifer was selling Origami Owl because she enjoyed it and liked the products, I had to check them out. I am anti-house parties. When it comes to buying stuff. I always decline because I feel obligated to buy something. What is great with Origami Owl is that you can shop directly through the site without a party or even better, host an online party.
To keep things basic I chose out a locket: Medium with crystals RV $24, Rolo Chain $12, and a few charms which are $5 ea.
The packaging when delivered by your representative is so cute. A take out box and a fortune cookie to hold the pieces! Really charming. This alone makes me want to go to a Jewelry Bar, which is their term for a party.
The charms are beyond darling and I already want to create more! I got a “Mom” heart charm, November birthstone, which is for my son and me, a Florida charm, A heart with baby boy feet, and an anchor to signify our birthday celebration this year which is a cruise! As many of my readers here know, Davin was born the day after me so we share a birthstone and this year a birthday adventure!
I love the look, I may want to get a longer chain down the line, the chain I have cuts right into my cleavage line a bit depending on the shirt I wear. The best part about the living lockets is that you can change them around, buy multiple pieces and swap things out like charms, chains, and lockets! Nothing is permanent. I am already deciding what items I want to buy my Mother for Christmas as I know she would really enjoy that! A “Nana” charm for sure is on the list! There truly is something for every budget based on sizes and designs. Origami Owl also offers more than just necklaces now too!
To find out when Jennifer is doing giveaways, promotional purchases, or to place an order with her help you should check out her website or join her on Facebook to get answers to any questions you may have or design help!
