I’m all about fashion! I am all about comfort. I am all about style! Then there comes a time that I don’t want to get dressed. I want to lounge around. I will invite people over. However, you are crazy to think I am getting dressed if I know you well. This is where I was having issues. I want to be stylish if I see people or answer the door for the delivery carriers. Yet, I want to be comfortable hanging out with my husband, toddler, and animals.
I’m a curvy gal, no denying that. I also refuse to wear sleepwear that makes me feel like a toddler in flame retardant tight long sleeve knit tops with pants or footed PJ’s. Just not happening. It’s Florida. It’s hot. I’m not insane! I was excited to find out that Kohl’s offered a variety of comfortable sleepwear.
I decided to head to Kohl’s and check out their plus size sleepwear section. I was actually really excited about how many stylish and comfortable sleepwear brands they offered. The pitfall was it seems that most ladies in my area are also curvy! I spent some time trying on items in the store and as soon as I got home, ordered a few pieces that I had seen in store but not in my size.
After trying on multiple pieces I opted for the Plus Size Croft & Barrow® Pajamas: Whispery Clouds Long Sleeve Sleep Shirt which you can find when you click on “Sleep Shirts” It is not only comfortable but really effortless and still makes me feel feminine. When I am cold at night, it is typically my arms, never really my legs.
While I absolutely loved the color of the Plus Size Simply Vera Vera Wang Pajamas: Daytime Dreamer Chemise, I was not a fan of the bow or lace insets. It was super fashionable and gave me an artistic feel but it did not come home with me. It comes in two prints though and you can grab it when checking off “Chemises & Babydolls” on the left hand side.
While I truly love the in store experience of getting to try on everything, not having enough in stock of my size led me to order online. Yet, if I had not been in store, I would have never found my must have winter item! I absolutely am obsessed with my new Plus Size Simply Vera Vera Wang 10th Anniversary Plush Hooded Robe!
This is the coziest robe I have ever owned. I have been lounging around in it since I got it in the mail. I typically will not order robes online because I am very particular about weight and fabric. This one is just so stylish and comfortable, I may be living it this winter! This is the perfect gift for any lady. Treat yourself!
At the end of the day, you have to realize that you deserve to be comfortable and style can come with comfort! I’m really excited about the selection of comfortable sleepwear I was able to find that not only covers my curves but still makes me feel sexy and stylish. I mean, if we are being honest here, I always wonder what I am wearing if I have to run outside in the middle of the night in an emergency! The new robe is not leaving my bed side at night!
You just can’t go wrong with the ever classic sleepwear set at the end of the day! What are your favorite styles of sleepwear and do you like to lounge around the house and yard like me? I could sit for hours with a good book, coffee, and my new robe watching my son on his play set.
