Hats and Knit Knacks Handmade Items~ Review

There is nothing more satisfying to me, then buying something created out of love and knowing a back story to how a company started. One of my favorite things about what I do with my ventures is to help support other Moms. I found out about Jill and her Etsy Shop Hats & Knit Knacks through Facebook. She started creating adorable hats for her son when he was born and then children of her family. Eventually she opened up shop!

Jill sent me these two overly adorable hats for Davin to model so I could see her handy work! Her items are adorable for photo props and everyday wear, like the newsboy hat below. My son has an above average size head so the bonus of ordering from someone who creates each piece with size options, is I could measure his head and she made sure it would fit! You can not get that in a store normally. In most cases hats are considered one size fits all. Who are they kidding? My son is 7 months old and can not wear a 6-12 months hat!

You can see the detail and work that goes in to each item she creates. Her turn around from ordering to shipment is very speedy! The Minion hat was almost swiped by my niece who said “I really like this, trust me, I do”! Earlier today I showed the photos to some friends and they were already asking me where and how to order! Jill stated that the Minion is really popular for Halloween. I can see that! An easy costume for kiddos that they can continue to wear and play with year round. You can order with one eye or two. My son loved tugging at the side strings which turned into a two in one, hat and toy!

Most of her hats run about $20-$25 and have size options so you can get the best fit. She can even take custom orders! She has an array of items available that are perfect for newborns or older children. The gray newsboy hat was made on the fly so I could have something that matched many pieces in Davin’s wardrobe. Jill does not just do hats, she also has blankets, barefoot sandals for girls, newborn photo props, and even room decor pieces! You can visit her store at Etsy and find something truly special!

Have a comic book fan in the house? Her custom light switch covers and letters are made to order! The letters could really make some great photo props for your children’s milestone photos or newborn sessions.
