Even in 2015 little girls are being told that their are certain jobs they can do, and certain jobs that are just for boys. Guess what? That is totally not true! Little girls can be equal parts fierce and tender, making them excellent candidates for many man dominated fields. A big part of a childs career and life decisions later on grow from their play and experiences as children, what do you want your child to take with them? It is important to choose the right toys- colorful, bright, open ended, and educational. Build & Imagine focuses on educational toys for girls that you are going to love.
What can little girls grow up to be? Well, anything really, for starters they can be….
- Armed Forces
- Business Owners
The just need someone to tell them that they can (sometimes they learn this on their own) and even in childhood they need toys to play with that encourage them to imagine that something so grand could someday be their dream job.
Including activities that involve STEM or Science, technology, engineering, and math is a great way to encourage that dream. Enter Build & Imagine toys… I love these fun magnetic Story Walls (that is what they call them, great name right?), they are designed with beautiful, appealing colors and scenes that are not overtly feminine or masculine but very much a draw for little girls (or boys, my 7 year old plays right along with his 4 year old sister on this set). We chose the Marine Rescue Center because water and marine animals is what my little one is into heavy right now- I believe in encouraging whatever interests and passions that they have.
What comes with each set? Well the themes vary slightly but each set includes colorful wall panels, dolls, and dozens of magnetic accessories that can be used to create countless scenes and scenarios. My little girl loves to act out stories with injured animals that she helps to heal and care for, and I love that it doesn’t just have to be for pretend-this toy encourages her to DREAM BIG for her future (but she doesn’t have to know that now).
