This year will be Davin’s 1st Halloween. I am skeptical of participating due to him just being shy of his 1st birthday which comes two weeks later. He can’t walk yet. I don’t want him having candy. I don’t even want to decorate. Yet we have another use for this darling infant/toddler costume that was sent to us to facilitate this review. All thoughts and opinions are that of my own. I loved Halloween as a kid and I am sure I will come to love it again once my son is older. This year however, I have a theme for his 1st birthday that gave me the desire to get adorable professional photos done in October (Note: These are not the photos, I will do a follow up once they are done!) Davin’s first birthday makes him the Captain! Ahoy, Matey! A pirate’s life for us! We are going all out for the decorations and event to celebrate this milestone. When it comes to costumes you think of for infants and toddler, you think funny babies. Things that make you giggle. Even though my little man looks charming, you can see his bandanna says “Cap’t Stinker”. Not far from the truth with how my little boy can rip roar his diapers! Not only does he pull off a charming pirate but we can use this for Halloween, his birthday, and then dress up until he outgrows it. Every costume can be used for dress up and play time as kids get older! Anytime Costumes has some of the cutest costumes for infants and toddlers! What I loved about the costume is that it is not heavy and has breathable material throughout the legs. With a wiggly baby it was a task to get him into the sleeves but that is with any long sleeve item at this age. I like how the neck Velcros shut and the whole bottom is snaps! Easy to remove if you need to give a diaper change during your events! The whole costume is a one piece and has great detail to complete the look. The bandanna is stretchy so even though Davin has a big head, no issues with the fit!
I can’t wait for his one year birthday photo shoot to highlight this costume with some other pirate decorations. It won’t be long before I have no say in what my little man wears, he will want to choose his own costumes soon enough! For now, he is my Cap’t Stinker!
