When it comes to baby bedding, we have not been so lucky in using the set we purchased before Davin was born. This is because we stayed with co-sleeping and he has never slept in his crib. To make matters even more pain staking, I am always having to try to pull covers on to our child as he refuses any blanket, sheet, or pillow.
Then came Liz and Roo. Made in America to please me and made with comfort to please him. My child at times has felt like an ice cube. He is obsessed with his Liz and Roo nautical minky blanket and pillow. The minky blanket is 40″x29″ making it bigger than many blankets on the market and perfect for cuddle time or covering up in the stroller! We even took his minky blanket with us to visit Santa as it was a nice chilly night and when we left it in the car that night he was not a happy little boy!
“Because we manufacture in the USA, we’re able to have hands-on involvement in everything we design and manufacture. Our promise to you: unparalleled service, made in USA quality, sophisticated designs, and a commitment to competitive pricing. Come join our family at Liz and Roo!”
Liz and Roo offers modern and sophisticated baby and toddler bedding. “Liz and Roo’s assortment of modern and sophisticated designs are made by sewing artisans in North Carolina, supplemented by a small team in Kentucky who specialize in custom bedding. Manufacturing locally has always been of utmost importance to the brand, as it enables them to closely oversee the design process and ensure the highest quality workmanship at every step. In response to the recommendation by the American Pediatric Society, Liz and Roo strongly promotes bumper-free bedding.”
I love how Davin now pulls his minky blanket up on him each night. He has found comfort in something that I thought he might push to the side just like all the blankets of the past. This means he feels the quality as much as I feel and see it myself. He is always trying to steal my pillow but now he has his own that is just his size. You can use their pillows and shams for decorating the living room they are so beautiful, or you can give in to a precious little child and let them have their firsts big kid pillow!
One thing I see in many of the baby message boards and chat sites is that parents don’t want the same thing everyone else has. Everyone is trying to put their own spin on a nursery or bedroom. With Liz and Roo you are able to do this. Their fabrics give you the ability to mix and match things.
Even though Davin does not sleep a wink in his nursery right now, we are keeping the ocean painted walls. This lets us incorporate the beautiful nautical line with anchors. We are a big ocean fanatic family here. The nautical line and assortment of solids and prints give us the option to keep this theme on going long after we take his cartoon theme bedding out of the crib!
What I love about the company is the way they sell the items. You can buy in a bundle or you can buy piece by piece. You get to be creative and mix and match items. This makes it so easy to transition from a baby room to a toddler or child’s room while keeping a uniformity of design and not having to redo the whole room from scratch.
You get to keep your creativity while having a modern fresh look that is not “kiddie” designed and will be outgrown after just a year or so. You know there is love and honest integrity put in to the workmanship and designs of the product that gives me a special piece of mind that they thought about my child’s comfort just as much as I do.
Start your creative journey to a beautiful nursery for your baby, toddler, or big kid by picking out a minky blanket and working around it! Liz and Roo has you covered, literally, from sheets, bedding, blankets, teething rails covers, valances and more!
