Nothing can be more satisfying then standing by what you believe in. This couldn’t have been more true to the debate of the Amber teething necklaces our son’s pediatrician argued about with me. We took Davin in for his six month visit and a new Pediatrician basically told me it does nothing, it’s not proven to help by medical facts, and it’s more risk than help. This caused my husband to hold our necklace hostage. We noticed a difference right away! The loving, smiley, and upbeat boy I had was now a drooling, hand in fist, monster pants! I reached out to Spark of Amber to try something else and see if Amber really was our solution, I mean, a Pediatrician couldn’t be wrong, right? Ha! At the time of writing this, Davin has worn during the day this “It’s A Boy” raw Baltic Amber and turquoise teething necklace. for three weeks.
It was easy to get him to sit up and let me put it on each morning on the changing table as he was accustomed to the prior one we had. From the first day he was getting compliments on the look of it. A lot of the necklaces you can purchase are a solid color of lemon, caramel, etc. The It’s A Boy and It’s A Girl line featuring beautiful gemstones give a touch of flare and they are not just for looks. Turquoise is used for alleviating pain and helping relaxation. Within two days we noticed less drooling and a lot less fist to mouth for comfort. My son had been wearing Amber necklaces since about three months but the first thing everyone would ask me was, “Is it safe?” Yes! I honestly don’t like using products like Orajel in my son’s mouth. So finding anything that was natural was my mission.
The younger you have your child wearing the necklace, the better. Davin has never pulled at it or tried to put it in his mouth. He does not even notice he is wearing it. It is the same with hats! It is something he is accustomed too. Wake up, change diaper, and put it on! There was one night I took it off before a bath and was wondering why he was such a screaming mess the next morning. Until it dawned on me he was not wearing this necklace! The natural oils are released with the heat of your child’s body touching it. The necklaces are very light weight, individually knotted beads, and an easy screw on clasp. Not only do they help the teething issues as he has had two bottom teeth since 3.5 months, it looks great on him! I can personally tell a huge difference in whether he wears it or not as can a few family members.
