Sweet Treats and Minimal Prep! Featuring Mrs. Freshley’s Snack Foods

When it comes to making and creating desserts for the family, functional and easy are key to many! After creating a gourmet meal and slaving over the hot stove, a nice cool treat is a welcoming relaxation just waiting to be devoured. Who has time to make it all? Certainly not I! I was sent Mrs. Freshley’s Candied Fudge Brownies and Dreamie snack cakes to re-create these simple and yummy desserts for my family!

Candied Fudge Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich. Recipe originally found on the Mrs. Freshley’s Website.

This simple treat was easier to imagine doing than actually do, but it did wok out in the end.

Ingredients:

2 Mrs. Freshley’s Candy Topped Fudge Brownies

Vanilla ice cream

Colorful sprinkles

Directions: Apply an even amount of ice cream to one of the brownies and top with the other. Place sprinkles in a bowl and roles the sides of the ice cream sandwich (easier said than done, I chose to get messy and just sprinkle away!), Shake off any excess sprinkles. Place sandwich on plate or baking sheet in freezer until ready serve.

This was create for my husband and he said after placing in the freeze the brownie was a bit hard to bite in to, but it was good. My son who is 9 months old loved nibbling on the brownie itself right from the box! I would love to eat up the brownie a bit and crumble it on to some ice cream for another version of this treat!

The recipe was for my taste buds to devour! It is based off the Dreamie snack cakes from the Mrs. Freshley’s brand.

This is a simple version of Strawberry Short Cake with a twist! (Cream filling is oh so delicious!)

Ingredients:

1 1/2lb strabwerries, washed and cut

3 tbsp granulated sugar

6 Mrs. Freshley’s Dreamies Sliced

Whipped Topping

I chose to show you a one serving size based off  the recipe.

Directions: Cut strawberries in  half and add to bowl. Stir in sugar and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to develop. Place your sliced Dreamie pieces in a dish or  bowl and top with the strawberry mixture. Add whipped topping.

I really did enjoy this short cake as a quick dessert and I know my family and friends would enjoy it too! Certainly will be using this one again!

You can find Mrs. Freshley’s snack cake items in your local stores and check out their website for other fun recipes to utilize the snack cakes for! You don’t always have to be a slave to the kitchen to be able to offer great desserts!
