I love to do crafts with the kids but sometimes I am not all about the paint, the glitter, and all the other messy things that tend to make it – up the walls, on clothes, under the table, and even sometimes the ceiling- how the heck does that happen? I like to keep these 10 items and a handful of glue sticks handy to keep the kids busy.

We got these 3 awesome Creative Hands kits from Fibre-Craft sets to try out so my 4 year old and I set away to crafting up a storm. Guess what? They had all 10 of my favorite non-messy crafts included in them!!! WHOOT! ( and one messy favorite of the kids-glitter!). We had a Crafty Zoo 2 Do that was obviously zoo themed-enough for 20 projects! A Creative Fun Tote that was a fun and colorful mix of supplies, and finally Paper Pals Bugs & Flowers that was stuffed with paper plates, cups, foam pieces, and straws. While they do say 6+ my little girl loves art and is pretty quick to follow along with directions so I knew they would be perfect for her.
First these kits are stuffed with lots of great supplies like pom poms, chenille stems, colored paper plates, google eyes, and a ton more. All you need to add to the fun is glue and scissors. They would make a great gift for a child that loves crafts, mom will appreciate everything is self contained in the little “case”. Just look how much is included in one kit!
They are ideal for using imaginations in free art or they included a full color idea book that gives you step by step instructions for each creation. Rainy day? Need to keep the kids busy for an hour while you get get dinner going and served? These are perfect!!!
We decided to start with one of the suggested crafts in the Creative Fun Tote. I cut out the basic shapes and handed them over with a glue stick. She pulled the rest of her supplies and needed very little guidance from Momma. I love that she was able to assert a little independence and was able to practice following directions (full color step by step pictures made it easy.) These are definitely going on my Christmas list for her and to give to crafty little friends and family members this year.
These fun kits retail for $12.99ea and are recommended for ages 6+ but of course you can break that barrier with proper adult supervision!
