I will confess. Grabbing a yogurt on the run for breakfast is an easy solution for most. However, I have found some easy and fun ways to turn my favorite yogurt that I can grab at Walmart, in to more than just breakfast. From wholesome snacking to a simple but tasty dessert, Yoplait® Yogurt has become a staple in our household and my toddler son would agree, it’s not just for breakfast or to eat solo anymore!
I can be simple and grab my favorite flavored Yoplait® Yogurt from Walmart in a variation of amazing things to tantalize my tastebuds. What I can do with a few extra items can turn that creamy delicious on the go item in to a perfect after nap time snack or even a dessert! My kid will choose yogurt over many other dessert options with just two simple additions plus a bowl and spoon!
One of the easiest and tastiest ways we turn our vanilla yogurt in to a tastebud wonderland is by taking a half of a graham cracker, a dollop of vanilla yogurt, a vanilla wafer cookie, a dollop of vanilla yogurt, and a thick slice of fresh strawberry! Crunchy and sweet is a perfect combination for a snack you can serve up on short notice. You can even throw them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes for a new texture when biting in!
My son’s favorite dessert (when I pull him away from the normal things his Daddy deems dessert choices, is this sweet treat! I use a half container of vanilla yogurt and top it with a salty caramel apple granola then add a few slices of thick fresh cut strawberries. It is way better than other frozen typical dessert treats and way less sugar, fat, and calorie content!
Each of these can be served as a snack or a dessert with no hard work involved. Sure a yummy Yoplait® is fun to grab and eat on the run but why not savor the flavor and whip up these concoctions with your favorite flavors, you don’t have to be so vanilla about it like me.
