Thank you to Jennifer from Younique for being a part of our 2014 Mommy & Me Birthday Bash!
I was skeptical. I see all these companies selling the next “Must have” make up product. “It will rock your world and change your life”, they say. I have my go-to brands, my trusty alliances of cover up this fair skinned Polish skinned face products. I however, lacked lashes. Let’s just pretend we can ignore my bottom lashes for the rest of my life. Those are non-existent. Seriously, they are not even worth mentioning. My top lashes, they are there, barely. Blonde as blonde can be. No length and no curve. Just there, hanging off my eyelids. That was until I met Jennifer Woodham through an online Mom’s group and she presented the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes and told me I would see results! I caved. I was presented this Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lash mascara to facilitate this review. All thoughts and opinions are that of my own!
Let me first show this product. It comes in a cute case and has two parts. You first have your transplanting gel which lets you apply the fibers over it. Then you have your tea tree fibers. The tea tree fibers are black unlike other fibers promoted in the industry. No white spots or having to hide and cover up things being applied to your lashes. The tea tree is natural compared to putting synthetic fibers on your eyes! Who wants that?!? In the photo above the transplanting gel is to the left and 3D Fibers to the right.
I wanted to test this out in a way that would show if there was a difference to me. My first day trying it was for a Mom’s Night Out event I was attending. I was nervous. It is so simple though. You apply the transplanting gel, then the fibers. Repeat until you have the results you want in length and thickness. Just make sure you apply one additional coat of transplanting gel to seal in the fibers. This is by far not the best photo but it was my first attempt!
The real test was wearing it to a photo shoot for Breastfeeding Awareness month (See photo shoot with this 3D Fiber Lashes in use). It was hot, humid, and gross outside. Would it melt off? Would I have raccoon eyes streaming down my face? Nope!!! You can see from the photos I was icky sticky but the mascara held! It actually holds up while out and about swimming too but easily comes off with warm water and a cleanser. OK, maybe not super easily. I swore my lashes grew from the use of this stuff! Maybe I just did not get all the fibers off.
I love how easy this is to use. You can find multiple YouTube videos as well with tutorials on how to make them longer, thicker, and how to apply if you feel you may have issues. I know that on days I do not want to wear any make up, I at least use eyeliner, gloss, and mascara. Now I am packing Younique 3D Fiber Lashes in my arsenal!
Here is a great before and after that I like. Both photos are from the same photographer. The one on the left is with regular mascara. The one on the right is from the breastfeeding photo shoot and using the 3D Fiber Lashes. As you can see, nearly non existent before I met Jennifer and her amazing 3D Fiber Lashes!
I have never been one to order from online shops or frankly anywhere other than a department store but my attitude has changed with this product! The company offers a variety of other items but this item is a stand out among all mascaras I have ever used in the past 15yrs of using make up! Also an extra tip. You can add color other than black to your lashes if you use some pigment eye shadows with a separate mascara wand. You can even host an online party and earn rewards with Jennifer and Younique.

No, I am not putting mascara on my son. Can I just say how jealous I am of his lashes? He certainly did not get them from me!
